In which I discuss the folly of test memes, yet do them anyway.
Your IQ Is 140
Your Logical Intelligence is Below Average

Your Verbal Intelligence is Genius

Your Mathematical Intelligence is Genius

Your General Knowledge is Genius

Okay.  Let’s talk about this before you run off and do it.  Does anything seem….wrong?  (cue the music to “which of these things is not like the other?  Which of these things does not belong?)

My logical intelligence is below average.  I got a 140 on a fake IQ test, where my math, verbal, and general knowledge were “genius”, I write computer software, I answered the ONLY logic question correctly, and my logical intelligence is below average?  I guess maybe I’d get how they draw that conclusion were I only more logical.

I got every question correct.  All 16 (see, it had to be accurate…16 questions).  How do I know I got them all correct?  Because I did.  They were easy.  Even the math ones.  And I basically suck at math.  But the whole below average thing forced the OCD in me to permute all of the answers and watch my score.  So yeah, I know I got them all right.  And yeah, not a single changed answer affected the logic category.  And now I’m even blogging about it because I’m so annoyed that I spent so much time analyzing a test that was clearly contrived by a window-licking half-wit.  The same could be said of most of those test memes though.

About IQ tests…what’s the best way to go about getting one?  I don’t know why, I really want to know my IQ, but also I don’t, because God forbid I should find out I’m not as smart as I think I am.  I don’t think my ego could handle it.  I’d quit my job and go work in marketing or something.  Anyone know?  Do I have to see a psychologist for that sort of thing?
