Took a crack at installing Ubuntu tonite.  I actually used Ubuntu Studio because I liked the idea of messing with all of the multimedia stuff, and Ubuntu Studio has it packaged in the install.

Installation was about the most painless OS install I have ever had since the last time I installed MS-DOS.  This is a far cry from the last time I tried to install Debian.  Burn the DVD iso and reboot with it in the drive, and it guides you through.  Very painless.  The only thing was I needed a PS2 Keyboard to get it going, because it doesn't seem to load any USB related drivers until somewhere in the middle of the process.  However, before all was said and done, my USB keyboard and mouse was working fine.

It is a really nice looking distro of Linux, and I've only had it up for about an hour now, but I'm having fun playing.  Actually, by having fun playing I mean I'm tearing my hair out trying to get wireless going.  It recognizes my USB wireless adapter, and it lists available networks, mine is on the list, but no magic happens when I put in my WEP key.  I'll update when I find the answer.  If you know...please share.
